Llandudno Magistrates Court, 04.04.2019
In a significant victory, Gemma Salter, a Naturawhite Brand Ambassador, was cleared of breaching the Dentists Act 1984 by the Llandudno Magistrates Court on April 4th, 2019. The case arose following a visit from the General Dental Council (GDC) on November 7th, 2018. After Gemma contacted Naturawhite for guidance, it was determined that she had not violated any laws. Naturawhite, committed to the defence of its ambassadors, engaged their legal team to represent Gemma.
Operating fully within the bounds of the law, Gemma adhered to Naturawhite’s training and policies, providing customers with Naturawhite’s self-service teeth whitening products, which comply with the European Council Directive on Cosmetic Products 2011/84 EU. Since this court case win, Naturawhite has not had to represent itself in similar matters due to its strong compliance with legal practices and its commitment to training.

Similarly, Cheryl Dickson, another Naturawhite Brand Ambassador, was acquitted of breaching the Dentists Act 1984 by the Glasgow Sheriff Court on January 23rd, 2016. Cheryl, like Gemma, followed Naturawhite’s stringent policies and training, ensuring full compliance with the law.
These cases have set a legal precedent, affirming that Naturawhites self-service teeth whitening is a legitimate and legal alternative to traditional dentistry. While the GDC has persistently pursued an aggressive campaign against teeth whitening services, they have consistently lost cases where Naturawhite’s systems are involved. In contrast, other companies offering similar services have not been as fortunate, with their systems failing to withstand legal scrutiny.
